Metal-Insulator-Metal Waveguide-Based Racetrack Integrated Circular Cavity for Refractive Index Sensing Application

چکیده

Herein, a novel cavity design of racetrack integrated circular established on metal-insulator-metal (MIM) waveguide is suggested for refractive index sensing application. Over the past few years, we have witnessed several unique designs to improve performance plasmonic sensors created MIM waveguide. The optimized can provide best performance. In this work, numerically analyzed device by utilizing finite element method (FEM). small variations in geometric parameter bring significant shift sensitivity and figure merit (FOM) device. FOM anticipated are 1400 nm/RIU ~12.01, respectively. We believe that sensor work be utilized on-chip detection biochemical analytes.
